It could very well be.
Those that are tech and web savy will know that the new site will have changed things, in fact more so than one might think.
For one , this type of site , as is , CANNOT support written text at the level that it used too(we know this and its easy too spot this ). The new web design is in fact commensurate with trying to at least keep the information in the most brief and succinct style possible, on OUR website anyway. We have in fact thrashed well over 95 % of all our previous work on all our websites combined since we created our site back in 1999 ( remember, we had also been in business for several year before that !) . We had created great ideas that allowed us to do things from a marketing perspective. Hence the nature of the site is changing as its core.
Further, the info provided will have to do with more of the day to day information that is necessary to run our shop, and not with dessimating sometime an over-abundance of information. We could have been accused of this , so the info will be that of daily shop concerns that is standard as well as necesaary for old and new clients alike.
Its all self explanatory just by looking at it and it was high time that the site become in ways more restricted and cleaner for the many new faces that we have seen in 09. We still have the capacity to scare folks upon entering our shop, something we cannot really help this ( it is what it is ), but we do not need to (pre-?!?-scare them ) on our site. That we do not wish for. To add insult to injury, the massive changes in our industry have not contributed to easing our clients and on what they might be thinking of these changes.
Not that we will not "dessimate any longer" but we admit that late in the year ( early November in fact ) we sent a mail in what could be construed with a "reworked- abridged version" of a news letter sent too our client base, a "plain jane "one at that...the results were BEYOND even our wildest expectations. And thats the way SP will go, therefore making this site lighter and faster to download for those who want to know basic info, and its especially designed for cleanliness of thought and brevity to access any and all information.
Its all there to see , from a Lines page that had been removed since march of 2008, to our Repair page as too what we do and do NOT repair, easy access to our hours and address on the spot and so on.
The site is still a version of our old site with new cloth however BUT JUST FOR NOW, but we simply wanted to have a bit of a transfer period where the new site was heading ( as in what we are talking about here and now ) and approximatly when this would take effect. We can still let folks know what gives espescially in times of changes, and this is why we are taking the time to go through this in some detail right now. We hope that we have not exasperated our clients , other thing we will refuse to touch on our ground floor.
Also we are still working some other little things with the change of this new approach on our web site has instilled. We will see where this takes us in 2010. Thank you for taking the time to read this , we promise too take less of your valuable time in the future...for now !
May you all have a safe a healthy new 2010.
